haha, that's funny, didn't know it had a name, but that's it, I have that gimbal, bought it used.
It was working, but I fried an encoder wire, and now I am trying to fix it.

Bill, thanks for the info on the Steady Wingman. It makes no sense to get just
the gimbal, so the IA3 Hex is a much better deal at $65,000.00. I might get
two IA3's......one for my new RED ($52,000.00) and one for my Black Magic!

Nice, and sure the manufacturer will support that price range systems. How does it perform?

Yes the Heads of the Company are young smart engineers, and have been working with me recently on getting it sorted out. I haven't flown it yet, the upper section w 12 motors needed some repairs as I had purchased it after it had a serious crash.
But it's looking good on the bench and on bungee cords. I am waiting for some props before I fly it.

That's not a bad deal. just make sure you find out the cause of the crash.

good point, there was one bad contact for one ESC, loose wire on dist board which corresponded to a bad ESC. It must have been intermittent, and couldn't be seen unless the electrical components were removed from the bottom "brain" enclosure.
So I doubt that it was known. I don't think one bad ESC would bring it down, but the data was wiped from the MK2 iOSD. So that is my best guess.
I should have it in the air next week.
thnx

HELP!! Alexmos 8 bit

Hi friends,
Today I was trying to tune my 3 axis alexmos controller to work with the DYS 3 axis gimbal.

The tunning was going well until the computer (mac book air) turned off and restarted, the controller beeped once and after that the controller board green light never turned on again, Ive already tryed to download the firmware via Xloader, and it doesnt work, and it is not posible to conect it to the GUI...

Please someone help me!!

Thanks for your support!

Sounds like there was some short-circuit, Do you see any physical damage on the board? If the board is dead and there is no obvious short-circuit etc. that could be remove, I am afraid you need a new board.

On the 8 bit boards I had the USB connection was always trying to start the gimbal, i.e. providing power to the motors. I always disconnected the motors (physically) for FW update and did everything else over Bluetooth. The 32 bit boards do not have this problem.

at 25K$ i can see a reason for the proprietary and unusual electronic layout, please keep us posted but the way i see it the original MFG is your best bet considering itīs technical layout.
