Steering system for helicopter

I think this one will stay on the drawing board.

Steering system for helicopter

http://www.iol.co.za/html/newideas/p...ea.php&id=2056

With vehicle traffic congestion on the rise alternative modes of transport
is being sought to overcome this problem. Although one-man helicopters offer
a possible solution, the expensive designs and complex steering mechanisms
make them unsuitable for general transport.

This idea is a two-seater coaxial rotor helicopter, driven by a power unit
that is tilted relative the fuselage to accomplish pitch and roll during
flight.

The fuselage is suspended from the engine housing by an arched frame and a
number of hydraulic arms, set behind the pitch axis of the helicopter.
Directional control is accomplished by shifting the centre of gravity
relative to the centre of lift during flight.

The landing gear comprises a pair of C-shaped struts that are reinforced by
a telescopic cross brace, which partially collapses in order to absorb the
impact of a hard landing.
