There's a guy on youtube working on a 32mm turbine but seems to have stalled on it.

The very first turbines for modelers were started this way back in the day before the advancements in ECU's...It worked then and if JetCat, etc, turbines didn't have an error code for the ignitor/glow plug failure, lighting with a lighter would work today...I had one of the first mass produced propane started turbines in the USA (Actually the SECOND JPX T240 turbine in the US!!!) and it could bet ignited this way....I've also owed 2 of the Golden West turbines that could be started with a lighter...The Golden West turbines were the first mass produced turbines modeled after Kurt Schreckling's designs, which he is the FATHER of model turbines...His turbines actually had wooden compressor wheels!!!..

Just an FYI......

This small turbine never really ignited, spooled up, and ran as post #1 noted...

i really like this one:
5 Stage Axial-Flow Micro Turbine - The Worlds Most Advanced Micro Jet. (4 min 41 sec)

with such a small motor and such a high output, it could make smaller turbine powered man carrying planes cheaper. or single seat helicopters

The guy who made that has some other models that almost seem to work.
