I have the Hacker X-40-Pro ESC and it comes with a round coil in the middle of the receiver wire with several wraps around it.

I've only seen this on the new Hacker ESC's and I assume it's there for noise supression of the ESC to the receiver.

I have an application where this coil is getting in the way of running the receiver wire and I'd like to remove it.

Would it be acceptable to remove this coil?

Seems pretty hard to get answers around here sadly.

If it helps, I asked a similar question about a Kontronik Jive as they also ship with the ferrite core on the receiver wire.

The official answer was to leave it on the wire as even with 2.4GHz equipment it was needed to avoid potential problems.

Many people report removing them on various ESC without issues, but I can't see any manufacturer fitting them and then telling you it is OK to remove them.

My application is in a 48" foamy. I know its there for a reason and realize the standard answer is to leave it attached but I'm tempted to just remove it and see what happens.
