Here is a well set up CB100 with some nice upgrades. I learned a lot of basic heli skills with this setup. It is a nice step up from a coaxial setup.

The main motor has been upgraded to an Oversky HP05-2 ($37.95) outrunner. The tail motor has been upgraded to a 2 gram HP02T ($24.95) outrunner and is mounted in a Micro Heli Concepts carbon fiber mount/fin ($16.50). It is using landing gear from a Walkera 4G3 which sits a little taller than stock (which I think is better for hard landings). That’s over $75 in upgrades.

It is a great flying fun little heli. It is very stable as set up, but I am including 2 extra custom made stabilizer bar weight sets if you would like to make it a little livelier.

I have the same tail motor mount/fin, tail motor, and C05 main(same motor)and the stock version is hard to keep the throttle steady cus when you let off a little it drops like a brick from weight. Think the stock motor weighs 11g and the HP-05 only weighs 5g. That is alot of weight saving on a light heli like this and a better motor. Some upgrades are a complete waste of $ but not these ones. They make the heli. Without them the CB100 is well... just a CB100.

Very true. I didn't mention the weight savings. I was going to weigh it but can't find my scale. It is probably in the mid 50 gram range AUW.
