What Ideas Do You Have For HHAEFI V8?

By all accounts HHAEFI V7 was a great success. We all had a lot of fun and think that we have a great event. New ideas and feedback from pilots are very helpful as we plan for next years event.

So...
What can we do better?
What are some things you like?
What would you like to see next year?

Thanks for your thoughts!

I agree. We were initially unsure if it would be worth it to the food vendor but it seems like it is. We will make sure to have them on sight all three days.

We have been kicking around that idea for a while. We might try to partner with SEFF to make something happen or maybe even put in place a long term, permanent facility. Nothing for sure, we are looking at a lot of ideas.

Awesome event! The only complaint, if you want to call it that, was the volume of the music at night. It was very loud where we were set up and a couple of times I saw people turn the speaker around to face the flight line just so we could talk to each other over the music.

Other than that no complaints at all. Another grand event put on at the most prestigious flying site in the world in my opinion.

On Saturday night, the music was awesome. I think Mac put his Pandora stations on and it was easy listening throughout the night. I really enjoyed the nighttime music.

The music may be an area where at night we shut down the speakers set the widest apart and play it only through the center 2 speakers. Those center speakers are in front of the shelter and the store. The east and west remote speakers are lots closer to folks camping spots, particularly the eastern most speaker.

Agreed, and a very good idea! Would take care of the issue for sure. I also appreciate you taking care of it that night we asked you about it Dave. Gotta love a receptive host!

+ 1

Maybe next year we can bring my wife's Ipod and play her "Drinking Songs" Play List one evening. That might be just what HHAEFI-V8 needs so it wont be such a straight laced event; maybe liven it up a bit..... What do you think???

Dave,

I say we procure a few of those astronomy lasers or flood lights to make columns on opposite ends of the field and have night races. I honestly have to admit my TW night flyer is a cherished part of the hobby now!

Great job on everything and thanks for a wonderful first fly in from our family.

Those sessions at night where we had 10 or so fast flyers burning laps was awesome! Most fun I think I've ever had flying RC planes.

great idea about the green laser as a pylon for night racing, or just for fun.
