The torque and p-factor on take off can get one in trouble. Also, I'm not sure how long the props will hold up at the rpm the tip speed can get to. I also don't know that the motor is capable of prolonged full throttle settings with the 17x10x4 prop. Someone else may chime in here if they have found the "ooops" settings for this combo.

Assuming a fresh battery (25.2v), max rpm would be ~7560 with the stock motor (300kv). With the 360kv motor and a fresh battery, max rpm goes up to ~9070. The big question would be can the stock prop (V2) take an additional 1500rpm????

Glad to see that there is some interest in more power. Consider going to 8s with the stock motor with a standard 2 blade prop. That way when you want performance, just put in 8s and change the prop to 2 blade. When you want scale put in 6s and the stock 4 blade prop. Best of both worlds and probably the cheapest. I am using 8s 5000 mah and it fits perfectly.

I finally got mine up for it's maiden on Monday. Mine is pretty much stock with the addition of a Mr RC sound system with 2 transducers, one mounted even with the rear of the wing and the other mounted on the motor bay. The plane weight is just over 13 lbs.
The plane flies very scale and seems to have about the right power for the corsair. It's no speed demon, but flies very nice. Landing with this weight was very predicable as the plane come down on the throttle.
I am very happy with the combination. It is much more to scale flying than my 1400mm hellcat which likes to float when landing.

What Hacker motor are you using?

I like the"convertible" aspect of your 8s / 6s suggestion. I like the ability to fly the scale prop but I like the efficiency of higher volt setups.

How does the model fly with the scale 4 bladed prop? Any additional performance compared to the stock motor/prop on 6s? I know each specific motor make and model will fly a little differently, sometimes a lot differently, regardless of the simple KV rating. My question would be if the stock motor would hold up to 8s on a new ESC using a 2 bladed prop of the 18X12 variety.

I am flying an 8s Fokke Wulf Ta-152 right now. In my mind no matter what the size I try to keep amps low and voltage higher for efficiency. On the 81" Ta-152 I'm flying 3600mah packs on 8s and my timer is set for 6.5 minutes. I'm using an Eflite Power 110 (295kv) and a 16X12 APC 2 blade prop. Very light weight setup, very efficiency, low amps, plenty of performance and vertical and I never seem to land with less than 30 percent of the pack remaining no matter how aggressively I fly her.

Sorry, no, I neglected to take any as this was pretty much a straight forward build.
I will take some of the sound system install as soon as I bring the planes in. They are all in my trailer. I hope to get out for a couple more flights in the next week or two if the weather holds out.
