Profile MIG-25 "Foxbat"

For all you MIG lovers out there, here is a big profile pusher jet for you.
This is the brain work of crxmanpax(the design) and myself(plans drawing). Currently crxmanpat is building the first prototype, but says the parts are fitting well and it's time to post the plans.

Wing Span: 32.5"
Length: 49.5"
Weight: 20oz with electronics and battery.

Hi Jetcaptain,

It's a beautiful Mig-25. Thank you for sharing the drawings. I would like to build one for myself.
Would you give me more info how you set this plane up, please.
I would like to know how you set ailerons and elevator, motor and prop size, battery pack size.
Thanks,

Rcminh

I got the plane glued together this morning and just did some glide tests to determine CG. She glides real nice with the CG at ~4" from the wing break.

Due to the larger size of this plane, I'm planning to use a Grayson Super ParkJet combo with an APC 6X5.5E and a 3S 2200mAh lipo.

I weighed all the components the other night and came up with 17oz. By the time I add hinges, control horns and rods and the CF spar I should be somewhere around 20oz AUW.

I'll post more pics later.

Here's a pic to give you an idea of the size of the plane. I am 5'6" and I'm holding the plane right up against my body.

Oh, and just for grins I decided to see if something would fit. Those are GWS EDF55 fans.

Rcminh,

I posted my motor, prop and lipo choices above. As for ailerons, I'm going to do what I always do and use a single GWS Naro servo on each side, then hook both the aileron and elevator together so that they move in unison.

Sorry to be a pain - but I would also like to build one of these in 6mm Depron - but I am not sure what you mean by the following CG location
"CG at ~4" from the wing break".

I know this might sound stupid for you but please would you let me know what the wing Break is /where does it start ?

once I understand this I can look at build this great Plane.

Thanks

Martyn

Here is the CG location. Good luck on your build, and make sure to post pictures of your progress.

Jim,

I will try to slap everything in it tonight and fly tomorrow. Had a couple consignment builds to take care of first.
