If I was a guessing man I would just say I flew out of range radio last week.
It's hard to say with those goggles on and I know I need to be careful much more careful next time
I'd love to see you be successful with the a UHF system because I'd learn also. I didn't realize your radio wasn't a modular design so a 72 MHz system would be an additional radio. Speaking of which I found a old Futaba 72 MHz wit Rx for 40 bucks here on RCG. Great deal but I don't want three radios.

I'm not sure ill ever out fly a 72 MHz system while living here in VA Beach and after two crashes I don't like the feeling of knowing your bird is out there somewhere. I'm sure you felt the same last week.

I like reading about FPV and learning from my mistakes. I just don't have the funds to buy what I want/need right now. I have a list.....boy do I have a list.

New screen
Long range radio system of some kind
OSD
New FPV bird
Higher power VTx
Goggles

Speaking of a new FPV bird this is the one I'm looking at. A Bixler is great also but I'd rather not have to deal with HK. RMRC is great to deal with and shipping is fair.

You don't need a modulate radio for UHF systems, I use a JR12X and it plug right into the trainer port of the radio. I have a Thomas scherrer system and so far had no problems with it so far.

I don't think you can lose with either of those birds they both are probably great. Might just come down to personal preference. I wanted to start with a low-cost large FPV platform. The reason for the raptor I bought and because of its plastic fuselage.

I checked out the system you have, very nice but pricy. My A9 will allow me to either go 72 Mhz, UHF or both. Because he has a non modular Futaba he would have to buy another 72 Mhz radio to go that route. I assume the UHF system plugs into his trainer port.

I like yours also but worry about the plastic fusalage getting beat up. Everyone watched me plow the Easy * into the ground this past weekend.

The main reason for wanting this one is it's cheep (110.00) and available here in the US.

Nice vid! It looks to be some trials riding on a road bike...which is quite unique as a road bike has different geometry than a trials bike does so to pull off the same stunts Im sure makes it much more challenging on the rider.

I got a good deal for mine on heli freak I couldn't pass up. The Thomas scherrer system can use te trainer port if any radio. Futaba actually is nicer because the trainer port outputs 5V so you can power the system through the port. With a JR/spektrum radio it doesn't output a voltage so you have to plug in an external battery to power it.
