The official "new micro release" thread

Hey all -

I got tired of being the last to know about the cool new micro releases from the various vendors. Thought we could all help each other out on this thread. Here are some rules to keep this thread manageable:

1) This thread should be used only to provide a heads up to a new micro release. Please limit commentary on the release itself to the actual thread.
2) Any manufacurer is acceptable, this is not limited to the major ones
3) This is not here for advertising, but manufactures and sponsors are welcome to post new releases to alert us.
4) posts should state in the title: NEW RELEASE: Manufacturer/model name
5) body of thread should have the link to the model‘s website, brief description and link to the rc group thread dedicated to the model.

Please help me get the word out, hopefully this will help a lot of us!

Good callout on adding a few youtube links.

Thanks for kicking this off!

BUT, the evidently the poster could have allowed his page to be seen by others without having them to sign in/up to Facebook.

Saw this at my LHS this morning:

Pretty, but in my humble opinion - WAAAAAAAY overpriced at $80 for a very simple, non-AS3X three channel micro.

I think its a great bargain at $75.00, and thank goodness they didn't put As3x on this one. This thing flies itself like the Champ. I wish they wouldn't put it on most of the new releases.

Oh. I love AS3X. I barely ever get to fly my Champs nowadays; AS3X would improve wind handling. But, my area is a little on the windy side

Agree. I would buy this in a heartbeat if it had AS3X. That's what mods are for, though!

I'm done talking about the Spacewalker in this thread now. (Just wanted to quote these two posts)

I agree that the tiny Spacewalker, intended primarily for indoors (I assume) doesn't need AS3X .

However,

I, like John234, love stabilization as a means of taming winds. If HH included the AS3X AS6410NBL brick in MOST of their new releases, we'd have the option of turning it off if like you, you didn't like stabilization (in general terms). The "penalty" for you, of course, is an added $10 and some weight.

As regards my complaining about the price ... let me do it before someone else does: let's compare the Spacewalker to a airplane like the Ultra Micro Corsair (current list $110): the brick in the Spacewalker is the Champ brick vice the AS3X (-$10). Then, it doesn't have aileron servos (-$26), and the motor is 6mm vice 8.5mm (-$3.50 ). And lastly, the battery is 70mah vice the 150 (a wash pricewise). So just on parts alone, the Spacewalker should sell for ~$70 ...making the $80 list price a bargain!!!

Regardless, a really neat little airplane!
