Sorry for the delay in publishing some code. I am working on it (tidying up a bit). We just finished three light staff's, a 5m jump rope and some hula hoops for Burning Man yesterday. These used a combination of $5 Arduino and a cheaper version of the BTOA without pressure sensor and buzzer.

Any pics? I am interested to see how you wired it and affixed the lights to them.

The LED's are connected to the existing servo cable (in the case of the BTOA or OA).

You solder two servo connectors (male side) to the end of the LED strip and connect a battery to one and the controller to the other.

I will post pictures soon too.

nice work!

will the code work with a Mini Pro arduino, like this?
http://www.ebay.com/itm/161094027756...%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

I have one of those sitting around..

I thought about trying to patch into a Rx output for say.. the throttle signal to make a blinking pattern be slow or fast, depending on the throttle position.. thus the faster the aircraft moves, the faster the pattern blinks.

Seems it is getting time to create new LED strips that allow easier methods to do LED matrixing, rather than butcher up the current popular strips that are in groups of 3 that you can cut off the strip.

That controller will work perfectly.

At the moment, the code does not interact with a servo channel, but there is no reason for that.

To use an OA or BTOA with some servo type control would require soldering on another wire. I will also include instructions and code for this in the future.

Sorry the code is still not posted. I am still tidying it up a bit and will post it soon.

I am flying a quad copter, but interested in this thread. I am looking for a controllable LED set up that is TX switchable. That way the LEDs can double as orientation lights, or generate UFO reports in the hood as required

I have heard of arduino but I dont know enough about then to program myself. I have never hear of BTOA until this thread. I would be interested when you get some code and set ups completed
