"TWIN WIDOW" largest twin edf foamy jet- latest update

Last couple of years I was hoping someone would come up with large 7th-5th size ARF foamy jet that could sell like a hot cake with all the 90-120+mm power units available nowdays.
Unfortunatelly no such luck so I decided to build my own. Using my favored 6mm sheets of foam I started laying out my new frame, 2.6m long with 1.5m w/span. Twin 90mm, EDF's with 7-9Kwatt output will power the Delta/Elevon controls only model. After my preliminary airframe completion and finding out apx. full flying weight I will decide if I go for 8-10 or 12S power system. Nothing beats the sound of multy power plants, that's one of the reasons I took up this new challenge so back to work, Joe.

I had bought the twin 70mm f22 and it fit just right in the back of my bmw wagon, but I was kind of upset when I got the mig version and it would not... :/ Hopefully you either have a big vehicle or make a have a detachable wing...

No details yet, only cut out my upper foam lyer today to finalise the air frame shape. It is huge, having only 5mm clearance to fit it in my van w/span wise. To keep it simple it has to be made in one piece which takes little bit of handling for one person. My target is to keep AUW under 7.5kg so I don't need MOP permit.
No pics yet, as my main PC went finito in this wet wheather we are currently experiencing. Will take me while to work out this little laptop with new system, thick as a brick when it comes to PCs but love computer TXs, Joe.

Sorry, not big enough, this thing will be just under 9feet long and while being Delta shape it will have different presents in size, Joe.

Also interested in this project. Thinking about similar twin 90mm edf jet project.
Do you have any ideas around the electronics to be used?

Slightly behind with my build, waiting for some C/F tubes. Regarding electronics, only two 10kgMG servos to operate ch.2&3 Elevon mix. 0ne 120Amp ESC for each 90mm power unit, still not sure which 'kv' motors I use, I might go up to 12S subj. to weight of my completed air frame, Joe.

Well on my way with the build, the main frame is fully laminated and bottom half completed so today starting on the top of the fuselage. I can't wait to hear the sound of this twin on full stick, Joe.

Hi 777, any MG 8-10kg servo will do for this one, I use 5, 50mm pin hinges on each control epoxied into the 6mm balsa insert between depron layers. Horns will be screwed into the ply formers bonded to the foam. Joe,

Quite a size to compare with twin 90mm FF/Mig but the wing loading will be probably less then half despite projected 7kg AUW, Joe.
