yo Jim... for a 2S lipo HV setup, and for some reason one wanted to use a 5v receiver... it shouldn't be a problem to put a CC-BEC in the receiver line to put that down to 5v, right?...
...it's for a friend... this isn't a clinic visit where I'm actually talking about myself
(cuz my Rx's go all the way to 4S, woot!)

No problem there. If you pass through the signal line from the X10+ to the Rx, you can do whatever you like with the power to the Rx, as long as the voltage is enough for the receiver you are using.
