Stearman showed up today. Very nice model.
rudder prehinged, different battery box than others shown.
blue on fuse is better in person than in pics.
I will be hinging the rest of the surfaces prior to assembly. beef up gear block immediately, looks weak to me
Hard ware is of decent quality.

So I did a rapid match reading (PPG) on the hatch today
And it found a great match
Also mixed up some blue off a full size Stearman
And wow the difference
The bottom is the real deal and the top is from the model

hey cr. what did you do get it from banana hobby, lol. cr I remember when I was putting together my dynam Waco. my bottom wing was out of whack but when I bolted the center and then hooked up the struts everything seemed to pull together. and she flies like a dream to this day. cr what kv rating is your motor. thanks again for the info

If you follow the scale modeling world, there's a color scale effect also. As you get smaller, the color should be lightened up. I'm not sure about the science around this but your "real" Stearman vs. the match looks like a bit too much difference.
