V911 dollar tree foamy
Hey everyone I have to start by saying that I love this website and looking at everyone's ideas and builds for new planes. This idea I had just to see if I was able to build a plane out of the guts from a old v911 I had sitting around that was broken and not worth fixing. It is not. Pretty plane at all and I really didn't intend it to be, just something to if it would fly!
 I had to buy 1 I think 2mm carbon rod, a gear box from a parkzone sukhoi, a prop from that plane. The rest I had from previous builds. All costed me $17 or less. Well here it is balanced out but not yet maidened.

 I have not made up a way to mount the battery so just tape till maiden is done |

This looks interesting. Ever since I first saw the V911 I though that it should be possible to convert it into a very small indoor flyer.

I'm collecting parts to do the same thing, but with EPP.
I have a few V911's. I'm even thinking about building a small twin prop, useing 2 tail rotor motors/props. I've been looking for a servo arm from another servo, that I can use to hook up ailerons. I may just have to glue one on. I've tried a dozen small servos and no luck. I picked up a Double Horse 9116 Tx to fly it with for more range. Also I have flown my V911's with the V929/939 Tx. It has more rates to choose from. |
