Looking for a tug, anyone have experience with this one. What are the strong points and the weak points?

Is $125 a good price for a boat in good condition? My wallet would like that.

I thought it would go for much more, the one on ebay sold for $122+$25 shipping so $150. I think thats pretty good for one, you can use discounts at tower hobbies to get a NIB one for around 225-250.

They are a nice boat except for the reverse on the esc does little or nothing. It also is a good platform for modding as little or as much as you want. Heres my modded Atlantic. Since the photo I shortened the stack also.

A masochist would consider hitting his thumb with a hammer fun. Doesn't make it a good idea.

My brother has a Atlantic and likes it. As others have said the Blue ESC is less than what one might hope for. There have been some terrific mods done to these boats. Tug purists hate this boat for the goofy hull design and poorly placed accessories like the lifeboat on the aft deck, but still as a entry RTR you will hardly go wrong. Simple mods to improve appearance are moving the lifeboat and cutting down the stack a bit.

Thanks for the replies, I have a used one on the way for under $150 shipped and plan to make a few mods. Removal of lifeboat the first, change to 35mm 4 blade prop, and ESC replacement if needed.
