Anudder Tantrum takes to the skies

Finished framing it all up last fall but could not seem to find the time to finish it up. Finally got it done and flying today. Very happy with the results. First flight was uneventful and fun. Loops are ridiculously tight (when you want them to be). Slow flight performance is great. This plane is very easy to land. Great design.

Setup: Razor 400, D gear, TP2100, 12x6 APC SF.

Here are some pics.

Last one. The bottom. I somehow forgot the scheme I was going for moving from the tail to the wing. The wing was supposed to be tri-colored similar to the tail. Oops.

Thanks Scott. I can't really take credit for it though. It's a combination of different things I've seen on various planes.

I'm not really sure, haven't weighed it. It should be within the normal Tantrum with a Razor+4oz battery range. Can't remember offhand what that's supposed to be. It flies great. That's all that really matters. Plenty of vertical authority. It would probably hover pretty well if'n I had the skill.

I like it all, especially the color coordinated wheels. Somehow it reminds me of a Joker. Not a bad thing, just what came to mind. Very colorful.

They flying is the best part. The best of most worlds.

Rudolph the yellow-nosed Tantrum

What do you think, use it or lose it? The spinner that is. I think it finishes of my Tantrum clown costume nicely. Maybe I should try a red one to make it more like a clown nose. Smallest spinner I could find at the LHS.

VERY NICE JOB! I love the colors and the combination! and yes do keep the spinner; I've been wanting to do the same with mine. By the way if you use a GWS GB how are you adapting an APC prop? I'd love to do the same.

Very nice color scheme, Derek. I like it better than my own Tantrum. I am going to make another Tantrum to have for a spare, I may have to copy it.
But sorry, I vote to lose the yellow nose cone.
