Make sure you didn't remove the red wire from the ESC itself. Many use seperate BECs in their setup, and remove the red wire from the ESC to shut down the internal BEC, but these HV ESCs are opto isolated and do not have internal BECs, therefore all three wires from the ESC must be plugged in to work.

The number of channels you have has no bearing on your ESC working. Your RX has a throttle port and that's all that matters. Plug the ESC into the throttle port and plug the BEC into any open port and it will power the RX.

wc, what model futaba rx you use? Without channel 7 or battery port on rx, cannot connect power from 3gx to futaba rx using traditional connection method.

Hobbywing Pro 150 -opto ESC has no bec built-in and you do not need to remove red wires from esc throttle signal wire.

Here is how to hook up 3gx, futaba rx and esc using traditional connection.
1. connect battery / BEC outpout wire to 3gx battery "IN" port.
2. connect to esc thottle signal to 3gx throttle input, last port as shown in diagram.
3. connect 3gx battery "OUT" port to futaba rx channel 7 or battery port.
4. connect purple wire from 3gx to "throttle" channel on futaba rx.

I hope it help.
