September 23, 2012 Club Flyin

Very nice weather at the field this morning. Winds were calm for the first couple hours and then they started to pick up out of the North. It was a good showing with some very cool planes!

The posts below show each pilot's planes in action.

As you can see from this photo, the pits were active today.

Art's Edge and Suhkoi

Art's 26cc Edge was really ripping some holes in the sky. It looks very pretty in the air too.

And Art's trusty pink (is that really pink???) Sukhoi with the 20cc engine always flies well.

Gary's Cessna

Gary had a very scale foam Cessna. The nav lights didn't show up in the bright light, but it was a graceful flier.

Jack's Big Stik and Yak

As usual, Jack was the big dog at the field. He had his 101" Big Stik running a 75cc motor. Loops, rolls, inverted flight, and hovering look pretty cool with a plane that big.

Jack also had his nice foam Yak in the air.

Pat's Twin Tony and Funster

Pat had out his custom "kit bashed" Twin Tony. Very cool plane. The first landing missed the edge of the runway by about a tire diameter and it nosed in. But it flew again. Twin Tony's fame precedes itself with a mention in Model Aviation. The twin .61 Evolutions sound nice in the air.

And what day at the field would be complete without Pat's Funster? I think he's really getting the hang of that thing. What do you guys think?

Ross's Mustang

Ross had out his relatively new Mustang. It looks good and flies good. I'm not sure how he keeps greasing in the landings, but it's very scale looking.

Marc's Edge

I had out my little 41" Edge. You'll have to trust me that I actually had it in the air.
