as long as no one looks very closely, the finish on mine isn't near as classy as some of the old birds that others brought!

I think whats really cool about the F1 exhibitions at the NATS is the fact that it's all about the fun and not the beauty contests with the pressures of missing a heat. It's about remembering the sound and look that built this sport! It's so cool seeing some of the original pilots making the effort to keep them alive by bringing these old birds out! I was like a little kid on Christmas morning everytime I heard one fire up! Lol It was so much fun!!

Me, too! I don't think that old yellow tub ever went that fast before ... It's probably still breaking in!

F1's at the NATS

Thanks to all of you, Mike, Bob, Dennis, Duane, Gordon, Tom, and Travis for making the effort to bring out these vintage racers! I also want to especially thank Dub for building a beautiful retro F1 motor, and Ritch for providing the fuel! It was so much fun to hear and see these planes fly! Awesome!

LOL.. When you say "vintage racers" do you mean us, or the planes?

Lol These planes wouldn't be near as cool if we didn't have the "original" ( notice I didn't say vintage lol) pilots there to take part in the fun!
