hercules bulwark reinforcing ribs

i'm building the diesel tug hercules and i got the plans from loyalhanna but it dosent say where the reinforcing ribs on the inside od the bulwarks are
anyone know how far apart they would be on this type of tug

dnch- these are typically right over each frame, but if you look at Sheet B, section at frame 28, you'll see a note that reveals that the bulwarks on this tug were supported by 2" pipe stanchions, every 42".

and weren't the plans from Paddlewheels & Props?

I'm not convinced I see pipes... more like sheet metal brackets... I could be wrong though!
Sure wish someone would go to Beaumont and take a load of good pictures...

thanks pat...this is my first scratch build...well except for the hull wich is glass the plans can get a bit confusing but they also have a load of info......and the plans came from loyalhanna ...i think there the same

By the looks of the photos they look to be about 3 feet apart, so they may have put a bulwark stanchion above every other frame.
Being a tug with 18" frame spacing would be about right.

Bulwark and Frames

I know on the tug Pegasus in New York built in the 19(teens) the frames and stantions were on 22" spacing but these were build to push oil barges around. Between the 19 (teens) and the time this tug was built allot of changes could have taken place.

Hey Rich, I've been on the Pegasus tug a couple of years ago, Has the Hepburn girl finished the her yet?
