Newbee seeks 1st time buying advise

Hi all, we rv on a seaside bluff with a typical onshore prevailing breeze that would seem great for an rc sailplane.

The buzzards, hawks and pelicans get plenty of lift as they float along this bluff.

The question is, what reasonably priced & rookie durable, low build time, rc sailplane an/or controls would youall pros recommend for this beginner?

Thanks in advance!

Something in the EPP foam range. Maybe even a flying wing Zagi type.

Very durable and fun.

May I suggest something like an Alula or a Weasel. They are proven slope flyers, are durable, easily repaired and small. Given that you are living in an RV, storage space is most likely a premium so size really matters. Another thing to consider is what happens if/when you lose control and the plane gets tossed back behind you. Both the Weasel and the Alula are very unlikely do any damage parked cars in the parking lot should that happen. Let's hope it doesn't.

Even though you don't need the motor while at the beach I recommend the Radian (not the Radian Pro). Simple, will fly all day on the slope. Easy as can be. And when you go home you can launch with the motor and soar! Plenty of info on RCG about the Radian. Great value for the money. Trust me, you'll like it.
