Airtronics Olympic ii Restoration/Conversion

So in a turn of good fortune, I was given an airtronics olympic ii glider of unknown history other than 82 is ironed on the wing. So its possible that this bird is 33 year's old, just like my high school car. The covering is pretty badly shot, and I plan on converting it to electric. The goal is to use it as a trainer while I continue my Aquila build. Once I'm done with it I want to pass it on to a kid who is just getting started or mybe as a club trainer for anyone interested in sailplanes.

The best way I found to get the little bits off was with a razor blade and 80 grit sand paper. While I was at it I tried to do some blending of the ribs to the spars/ leading edge/ trailing edge/ and sheeting. I was really hoping to do the new color in transparent but I'm thinking solids now. The bird was definitely put together fast.

I didn't get to the fuselage tonight but I fell like I got a fair amount done.

I am looking for opinions though.....
Should I cover it in HobbyKing film, UltraCote, and solid or transparent?
What colors other than yellow?

I'm thinking white and purple solid.....

I like that purple and white. I have the hobby king covering, some people like it. I really don't or maybe I am just use to it shrinking so much and the white glue will show if you you shrink it to much. I was used to top flite monokote in the past.
My Riser 2 meter if i ever get it done is going to be solid green and yellow. Aka "John Deere" colors. And the colors for my Riser 100 is going to be White and transparent purple.
