Three masted schooner

Here's a three masted staysail schooner that I've put together over the last few years; it's in semi scale state at the moment but will be getting more detail at some point. This I loosely based on a ship called the black Douglas which my grand father sailed on in the 1930s on a charter for the national geographic. I've used footage taken on my grandfathers time on her as reference, which was quite handy!

A bit of history of the black Douglas, she has had a long and varied history which might be intresting to some of you.

Shes based on an old 36" hull I bought many years ago. Currently 2 channel operation with a sail winch on one channel and rudder on the other

Here's the model:

And a video!

Cheers guys, I'm currently adding more detail; will post some more pictures. Under the water she's not as pretty, below the waterline she's fairly in altered with the original fin keel but she sails well so there seems no point changing it!

very nice !
I am wondering what material you used for the sails, and from what source?
Is this considered a "staysail" schooner,or is there another name for this rig?
keep us updated !

Hey yes this is a staysail rig. Have considered redoing here as a gaff rigged boat but would probably be more trouble than it's worth. The sails are cotton, I did have to get them professionally machined as sail making is beyond me!
