Sorry Curtis, I mean the 4th weekend in August, 23/24. I forgot August has 5 weekends that month.

Thanks again for trying to work around our schedule. We will be posting our ALES dates very soon as well.

The conditions for TCMAA's December Ales were thick fog with a very low ceiling so we turned it into an Fog-5-J contest.

12 flyers came out to play. Flyers were allowed to run their motor for as long as they dare and the time task was set to 4 minutes. In the early rounds, the ceiling was around 150 feet so a two or three second motor run would put you in the soup and the more daring guys were barely visible for a good part of the flight There were several exciting incidents where planes completely disappeared into a fog bank before they were flown down to an altitude where visibility was restored. It turned out to be great fun and no airplanes (or flyers) were killed or injured during the contest.

It looks like we're done for the year since everyone's schedule is filled up through the holidays.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all of you!

Wish I had been able to make it up. Sounds like it was a fun wrap up to the year.
