To glass or not to glass

Sorry to dredge up this very old thread but that is what forums are for aren't they?

I did a search like a good boy before asking dumb questions that have been answered before and found this thread

http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showt...why+fiberglass

It wouldn't let me reply being so old

But I still have one question.

In what order do you do you put the glass on?

I think deck, sides then bottom or doesn't it mater?

The kit I'm building doesn't say to use cloth at all but from what I've read it seems like a good idea. Living in Queensland Australia our summers are hot and humid and winters are dry and dusty, I don't want seams opening.

Any thoughts would be great.

Here's a great thread that covers the whole process in detail:

Hi, my only advice to you is that if you never fiberglassed a hull before
don't do it on this nice one. Get some scraps of wood and try it on there
so that you get comfortable with how fast it dryes and how you lay it down
and how it will look. Good luck !

I'll take that as a compliment! Plans are free from svensons or there is a pdf I made in the other thread with patterns.

But first practice on a piece of scrap or two, not the Cabalero. It can be a little tricky until you get the habg of it.
