I've reported several of these counterfiet's on ebay now. Hopefully they'll take care of it and keep folks from ending up in the same boat as you!

Hope you get your $ back!

It pissed me off that they didn't bother to at least get a "new bolt". Also though ... this could just be some kinda curency scam. The damndest thing is that it seemed reputable. Given the number of hits that that sell has on ebay.

nice chinglish. they know exactly what's up, and they'll play dumb for as long as possible.
have you gotten a response from Futaba yet?

Nothing more than form email from Futaba. Most Asian RC companies don't really care about knock-offs. They know they can't do anything about them. I just figured I'd give them some more pictures, and if I get left the device I'll send it to them.

Also, I said very clearly in my message to the ebay company that their item was a fake. I sent another email with the word "counterfiet", but I'm sure they already know. Ebay should really crack down on this. Just ban Chinesse sales without a deposit.

Original 401 Bs from XM seller and a few others(not HObby King, as they are clones of clones) work very well, even for mild 3d. I have one that is close to 3 years old and it works great. ONly difference between it and the GY 401 from Futaba( yes I have those too) is it's not quite as smooth and is more sensitive to vibration. My original 401 B has been thru many crashes and still works very well. There is a thread a mile long on these gyros in the mid size heli forum. Jim

that thing sure looks real to me, writing on front of the actual gyro is the same as whats on the side of their box, not the same box as futaba shows on their website to show fakes so it is hard to tell for me, as for the "bolt" can you take a clear pic? either back your camera up and use the zoom to take the picture or use a flatbed scanner and you will get much better results with close ups. Trying to put a point and shoot 6 inches from something will always be fuzzy. Back up a few feet and use you zoom to get close and you should be able to get a clear shot. And a flat bed will give you even better results for close ups I wonder if any other fakes are out there? like my ligictech 2011t's or curtis youngblood solid g's? I am almost certain I bought a few AR6100's on ebay that are fake but they work very well so I don't mind. Ebay DID however make them stop selling them, now I have to email him and pay through paypal to get the $20 AR6100's. I have 3 of those and 5 orangerx's Spektrum recievers and those are fantastic! not as good as my AR7000's but every bit as good as my 1 genuine 6100E.

I can't believe the number of bolt enthusiasts. This is as good as it gets. As in I'm not opening it up again.
