Thank-you Thayer! I happened to be in Finland two weeks ago to drop my son off into their military. There is one of their aviation museums by the airport and I dropped in to see this particular variant of the W.29 plus a lot of other rare planes.

flew mine again today after shimming some right thrust into the motor,,it flew much better, no more left yaw,, after several flights I give it a so so,, not great but not an awful flyer either.

Sorry to say I'm kinda bored with it already,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, what next?

You could always go for a kit build of either the Anderson Kingfisher or the Grumman Albatross from Park Scale Models. Although the Albatross is a bit big at 96" span. I don't know how large of a lake you have for flying

So,
After the last event of the season you can see the float covering came loose again,,, so I decided to strip the covering and add 2" to the rear of the floats,, surgery reveals typical ARF construction,, not enough glue allowing water to enter the floats,, good news is that lack of glue makes surgery easier..

Water handling should be better with the extended rear.

After playing with the float I've determined they aren't worth saving, the other float has warped balsa, wood is weak, going to go a different route, build a new or buy a new set,,, $40 is pretty cheap, we'll see.
