I have a kit of the Willy Monster that I am thinking of starting to build soon,
however have little details and can find nothing on the net about it.
I am not sure of the completed weight to decide on which engine to use for reasonable flight.
Choice is either an ASP90 4 Stroke or a soon to be delivered NGH35 4 stroke
petrol ignition (probably way overkill).
Model is 120" ws, 1980 sq" area and trainer style with clark Y airfoil.
It is the 3ch version (no aileron) which I hope to modify for flaps to allow
landing in a smaller area and reduce float on landing.
Has anybody built one of these and have experience of it. ie all up weight/engine?
I had built the smaller version which went through many diesel engines (09)
and electric motors and was finally donated to the local air league for the kids to learn on.

I had one of those long ago and used a 108 ASP it was over kill and I wouldn't worry about flaps they fly pretty damn slow as it is ... with that much wing area I wouldn't worry about your weight to much as long as its not tail heavy it will be fine and just don't fly it in much wind ...also remember being 3 channel ground handling at low speed sucks
