Turnigy TZ4 AWD 1/28 Mini Touring Car

Anybody seen this yet? I just ordered one today for $52.02 with a buddy code. It binds to Flysky radios, which I use for surface models, so this is great. Been wanting a decent mini car. Let's discuss it here.

Can anyone find any videos of this or something similar? I could not.

the thing that puts me off it is the self taping screws holding on the wheels, and the fact it has no shocks. i dont know the norm for minis but that's just my opinion.

have a look at the kyosho mini Z, i think that is similar

i would rather take the 1/16ers for 20 bucks more

not sure about this one - I've converted some of the smallest micros car to brushless - using the smallest gear you have 2 options - losi micro setup or hk turnigy micro setup with 1230 motor - this car looks too small for either setup.

also comes with a 5wire crap servo and all in 1 esc - kinda spendy rather have proportional 939

Still waiting for the reviews to see if the stock board is any good, plus needs more details on the wheel mounting method. If it's crap I'll wait for HK to stock spare parts and build a rolling chassis from those. Not familiar with the losi micro stuff, if the motor is roughly a 130 size it should fit.. worst case is getting the Mini-z BL motor for almost $45 lol. Leaves me wondering if its worth the trouble at all.

A lots of people are talking about mods. I'm thinking it will just be fun to play with stock. I will report back when I get it.

Still on the fence with this thing... you can get it WITH Tx for $65 from EGRRacing, and their Porsche body looks way better than whatever body this is.. HK better stock the chassis parts so I can build a roller.. else I have no interest in another brushed AWD when I already have a Mini-Z AWD.

I ordered one yesterday. Looks pretty sweet, somewhat like a takara tomy. Not sure why they called it a touring car and not just a drift car. I'm not sure but I think it's set up for and meant to be a flat out drifter.

If mini z bodies fit, I could get past the 5 wire servo, as long as hobbyking stocks those servos, all should be fine.

My order has also been sitting at the packed stage for several days. Again, it has a lipo inside. Give them a bit, they will ship, this is typical. Gotta be patient ordering from overseas. In the time I ordered this and it has been sitting, I ordered and received a Delta Ray from Hobb-e-mart. It's a Christmas gift for the boy. Thing almost flies itself.
