Tail twitch

And yeah I must agree, I find the unweighted flybar a bit much to fly, granted I went from stock flybar to unweighted, as the weights came off yesterday in prep for the project day tomorrow, or when the DD tail stuff gets in...
I think you're probably right about the temperature causing the twitch. It was 18 degrees out when I was flying and noticed it.

If you can fly without any weights at all you're much better than I am. With my lightened 9116 I couldn't even get off the ground far enough to hover without crashing.

do you still have that hbct

Are there any fuselages that fit the 9116?

It's a nice looking, simple sturdy bird with a great head design (flapping hinge). I can't imagine why ESky didn't give it a proper 3 axis gyro. They would have sold a lot more.

Anyway, I'm pretty much getting rid of most everything and leaving the hobby. So, I'm going to put it up for sale shortly, for $50 shipped... as soon as I take some pictures. It's been a busy weekend. I sold all my planes, all my quads, and all but 5 helis (3 to go, I'm keeping 2).
well im very interested in the hbct and i hate to see you leave the hobby

The upper stock canopy mounts work fine, but I never found a good solution
to mount the lower part, as it extends almost to the skids.

I tried wire ties, servo tape, and several other methods, and in the end
decided to just let the rotor wash hold it down.
I meant scale fuselage. Like a bell or Hughes.

If I'm unable to fly it, my grandson will be happy to take over. I'll be posting in my blog about the steam punk quad. It's not an original idea. Somebody else thought of it first and started, but got stalled some months ago. I think their design was lacking practicality.
will you have a forum just for the build or maybe a youtube channel were we can check in on the progress of the build i can't wait to see it in action
