I just wanted to confirm I was able to get in touch with Wayne from Aloft Hobbies, and he went way out of his way to try and help me, which was great.

Why did they all have to be checked? What was wrong with them?

Telemetry through sbus not showing on my display

I am lost, so in need of some help. I'm getting very frustrated here and have to stop searching and ask for some help before I throw ALLLL my Frsky crap in the bin.

I'm trying to get my Frsky telemetry to work. This is my setup:

9XR with DJT module (both switches to off)
X8R
FLVSS smart lipo sensor
S.port GPS sensor V2
FLD-02 display (rev 2.1)

The X8R is bound to the DJT and the only thing that I can read on the display is the RSSI and the voltage that powers the X8R.
Both the FLVSS and the GPS don't show up on the display.

What am I doing wrong or overlooking?? Thanks in advance!

Should be expected that FLD-02 don't display telemetry over s-port (not s-bus ) being a generation before s-port advent.

FrSky 2.4ghz - looking good so far!

A 9xr pro and a XJT module would do it all with your X receiver. No external display and you're getting voice, haptic, sd card and more memory and model memories. Probably not the answer your looking for but if you spend $28 for a D receiver and also buy the hub, you're on your way to a pro. I'm not sure the newer GPS works with the hub, I'm using the original one that's been discontinued. The HK pro fully supports the XJT and X and D receivers, s-port and hub sensors. No more beeps or looking at the display, you'll actually hear the value spoken.
Either way you're in a fix, for a fix. You'll have to throw some $ at it to solve you're dilemma.
My suggestion is a 9xr pro if you're used to the 9XRs setup/feel, or a Taranis and really enjoy the RC experience they both have to offer if it's in your budget.
Been there, done that!

Better lobby Frsky to make public the FLD-02 innards, will see better open source software giving a new life to this little box.

Has anyone had any issues with the new X4R receiver?
I've got one on a slope plane that worked fine for a half dozen flights as far as 1800ft away,
and then suddenly it started complaining about low RSSI as little as 70ft away.
Rebound with no improvement. No crashes. Antenna connectors are seated correctly.
Replaced with an old D8R-II and full range is back.

Log your TX data - to see the RSSI data it received back.
Check over that log/chart for a start, to get some more detailed info on what is exactly happening. That may, or may not, help a lot.... but at least do that for a start.

You could possibly just do it with the RX out of a plane, seeing you changed it out. just make a simple setup to place some across a park so you can move away and check distances.

I don't have to log it, to see that the RSSI value is extremely low now. Only
have to walk away from the plane a few yards and it starts to drop dramatically.
Have already tested it out of the plane. Guess it's just a defective Rx.
I was just wondering if anyone else has run into this with this specific model,
as I don't want to replace it and run into the same thing.
