MassiveRC: Happy Father's Day!! 5% discount off your order using coupon code DAD2013
Happy Father's Day!!! OK Dads, while we know you love those neckties and cufflinks, treat yourself to the Father's Day present you really wanted. Use coupon code DAD2013 for 5% off your order. Expires Monday at midnight.
Our V212s and UPDATE: after further testing and customer confirmation, these new boards are better, but nothing earth-shattering. The vices have been tamed down a bit. The difference isn't significant enough in my mind to call it a V2. If they can get rid of the front-left dip and trim issues, I'll call that board\quad V2. We'll be offering BNFs and multiple options with the V212 such as different lighting and canopy options. If you want a V212 and V202 with only one remote, order the RTF V202 and then a BNF V212 as the BNF V202 is quad-only, no accessories, whereas the BNF V212 includes everything but remote. Frankenquad upgrade package: http://www.massiverc.com/PrestaShop/...grade-kit.html We already put up a V202 BNF: http://www.massiverc.com/PrestaShop/...ut-remote.html Frankenquad V2 is truly amazing. We're very close to releasing it. See end post for details. Previous News.......... We are now offering a Vitality H36 BNF version: http://www.massiverc.com/PrestaShop/...ut-remote.html The Hubsan X4 Super Glue Special is all we have left in stock. We have props and spare body shells on order and handful of RX boards. We're now including rubber feet and 1 set of spare props. Our X4's have EA4000362 board revision: And the X4 super-glue special: Check out Chris' review from the RC Today Show: http://media.blubrry.com/rctodayshow...ayShow_062.mp3 Fast forward to 30 minutes into the show for the review on the V202 The Crash Cast's review (starts at 3:54): http://traffic.libsyn.com/thecrashcast/TCC_194.mp3 RCPA's review (starts at 40:27): http://demonspawn78.podomatic.com/en...18_20_26-08_00 Original post: Just wanted to let you all know that James and I are going into business together. We're hoping that with both of us both being enthusiasts, that we can bring added value to the products not just from understanding them, but by directly influencing the product itself with our buying power, and also our direct personal relationship with these vendors. Right now sales will be concentrated in the US as we all know getting product to US customers in a timely manner has been a problem or expensive. We also don't want to be vendors that have to walk on others to get your business. There's plenty of $$$ to go around and sometimes the other vendor may be able to get you a better deal. We want to concentrate on providing good service to you and not badmouth other vendors to get your business. With this being a new venture, there are going to be some bumps, so we apologize in advance. While we may do drop shipping, the majority of the product will be in our US Warehouse and you'll know where it's coming from and what's in stock. We will stock up heavily on spares so you can get them in a matter of days or a week. I believe that we can get good enough pricing that drop-shipping won't even be necssary. All In-house products will be tested before shipping out. Time is critical for us to get up and running and product available before the holidays, but stay tuned. Because of the need to get up and running as soon as possible, don' t expect the website to be glamorous. We appreciate your patience. I've sent a message out to the forum owner to make sure we're not violating any policies with this 'advertising' but haven't heard anything back so hopefully this thead won't get locked. We have to run as lean as we can to be succesful, and if things go well, we'll get some banner advertising going on. Thanks and stay tuned. Here's the Home Page: http://www.massiverc.com/ Updated our store URL: www.store.massiverc.com and the old link still works as well. Should speed it up a little and be easier to remember. You can also go to www.rc.massiverc.com, www.quad.massiverc.com, or www.shop.massiverc.com, whatever is easier for you to remember |

Congratulations to you both!
![]() This is a fantastic idea and I personally am glad to see someone with the passion and ability to take something like this on. I am unfortunately a little impatient and find myself often paying a little more in order to receive items here in the US rather than wait for a month or more for products overseas. Plus the lack of support. I really hope the best for you guys and believe this will be a profitable venture if everyone gets on board. |

Cogratulations. Hopefully you can fix several problems:
1. Keeping a fair amount of spare blades, batteries, chargers, and motors in stock for each quad. In fact it would be nice if you all sold deluxe packages that come with something like six batteries, six blade sets, etc. I don't mind paying more for a product if it keeps me from being frustrated and flighless waiting on parts. Quads are great but they are like pets. They need to be fed and maintained. 2. Pressure the manufacturers for better looking canopies. We don't want our toys looking like toys. In fact I'd urge manufacturers to have a look at Apple's designs. Simplicity is often best. Give me clear domes and solid white canopies over insects and cheesy flying saucers. 3. Have some complete DIY kits in stock like the X250 for those who want to step up our game but aren't the most tech savy. Kits that have very clear instructions. Also, if you need any unbiased reviewing of quads I'll be happy to volunteer.

Don't want to get ahead of the ball game and no matter where you guys start I will do my best to support it and purchase from you directly. I do like this idea though as you guys grow to offer at least a few of the nice smaller kits that you find over the sea on banggood and other sites, that you don't find on the US side.

The reason why we may not be carrying the Hubsan X4 initially is due to the lack of spares, probably because of the high demand of main units plus lead times are long as you all have seen. Hopefully with the success of the X4, Hubsan can ramp up production and meet demand, but more importantly, be willing to listen to customers about improvements. 2. I am looking at a local source that could provide carbon fiber canopies but that's farther out in the timeline but hopefully we can influence the manufacturer to offer different designs. It's tough to cater to all the personal preferences though. I for one like the beetle bug look, but I know everyone else hates it. 3. Until we get on our feet, we're going to have to concentrate on specific products, but as things progress we'll see what we can do. |
