Chris....who's fluttered his fair share of F3B ships.
1- I think it has to do with the 1mm +/- slop that the rds seems to develope.
2- I also think that BIlls hill where we DS is pretty small area with tight circuits, adding extra stress to the ship. To get any speed at Bills, a aggressive line is needed.
So hard to tell. Could not tell wich control surface it was either. Nothing looks out of the norm.

You might see if a light potting of the output shaft to servo splines helps you. If not, then it's either plain old gear slop in the servo, or the wiper to pocket fit.
I've heard of a few people adding a shim to the rds pocket. I equate that to ca in the horn hole, but it's a little harder to accomplish.

Wonder if it's just flexing of the surface. Long ailerons and elevator with light surfaces fluttering toward the tips.

Generically speaking, the surfaces on Baudis airplanes are quite stiff, as is the rest of the wing. Which would lead one to look at control slop and mass distribution as the two "lowest hanging fruit."

Turnigy vs MKS 6125 Mini

Anyone thinking a Turnigy TGY-S712G might be a direct replacement for the MKS6125Mini in the aileron, it doesn't fit. The splines don't match.

Since replaced with another Mini and everything works as it should, no slop and accurate centering.

But if you pull apart the MKS servo and swap over the top spline into the Turnigy servo if fits perfectly. Don't forget to pack the gears with some grease.
I changed all my wing servos in the Fosa and at $30 a HV servo its dirt cheap.

how to fix

I recently bought a S/H Fosa Lift and I've just been setting it up. When attaching the tails I noticed that one of the brass ball ends was moving on its wire shaft. I is quite a tight fit and I wonder if the factory holds them in position by friction but I need something better. CA or JB weld? I know in the past they were soldered or brazed on but the tail would most likely get damaged if I tried that.

Hi Paul,
I'd use medium CA; but only very carefully. Rough up the join between rod and ball (sharp balsa knife) and apply CA with a toothpick.

One of these weekends I might get to fly my FL, the weather in Tas. has been unflyable.

I use thick CA - gorilla CA, to be precise. I clean the shaft with acetone before I do it (nail varnish remover).
