Making good progress with the kit parts now. Most of them are ready to be printed for test fitting etc. Once the parts are printed, the inside surfaces will be glassed with lightweight cloth for strength. The outer surfaces will be smoothed and coated with Styrospray for a hard plastic finish. More on all this later though.

Here is a render of the parts that are mostly done. Different colours to highlight the individual parts.

Cheers,

Steve

Ah! - he taunts us with his creations, even gives them a holiday color scheme, but where's the "buy now" button?

Haha

Thanks guys, I think I'll start a new thread for this modification kit. I'm just uploading a video detailing some of the differences between the versions and some of what's involved in the modification.

I'll post a link soon.

Landing gear struts

I see that spare parts seem to be readily available in the US. Does anyone know a supplier of landing gear strut sets in Uk / Europe?

John,

Wheelspin Models and Apex Models also sell FMS spares but it will almost certainly be cheaper to import from HK through either RC castle or PW-RC if you're not in a rush.

GB

Edit: for small stuff like LG retracts etc it's also very likely that the parcel won't be stopped at customs, so another 20% saving to be made there.
