Ok everyone I Just built one of the New GWS Yellow (thats right yellow slowsticks) this is one of the new version GWS slowsticks the 2 piece fiberglass rod comes pre drilled with hoses so it goes together quick, Elevator and rudder foam are now a new thicker more sturdy foam, the wings at least mine seem to be a little thicker then the last red (new slowstick kit I just bought) the new kit also comes with a slighty larger set of control rods they are thicker and dont flex as much (they also in clude in the new kits e-z connectors) to install the control rods! everything still builds the same so I won't get into that! here are some pictures. Im charging a battery pack to madian her in about 2 hours! I put Decals on it from a GWS Tigermoth I guess we could call it the monomothslowstick!

Very pretty bird. I wish GWS would offer all the colors they show on the sides of the SS box. Red, blue, yellow and green.

How is the fiberglass fuge compared to the Slo-V's carbon fiber fuge? Is it the same? I find the carbon fiber to be too fragile/brittle. Busted up on very first crash..what a piece of junk.

I still like the DuBro EZ connectors. They are more easily adjustable.

Me Too! BUTT! the new wire is thicker and did not fit in the holes! in teh ez-connectors! and I didnt want to do any extra work to get the wire to fit!

Otherwise ez's are on all my planes!

All you need to do is take a sharp xacto knife and bore out the hole slightly. I love the new connectors! No more z bends!

Its ok I have another set of Control wires Im going to add so i can do the EZ-Conectors!

I saw on the Stevens Aero website that Bill has Green Slow Sticks in stock.

I think there is also A Blue Version!

Tallflyer, great looking yellow SS...care to disclose the nature of the Berg problem ? I had problems with one of them, a 4L, sent it in, CC replaced it with one that gave off smoke and quit. Sent it in, CC again replaced it. Traded it to the LHS for a 4ch GWS even up. (The first one was DOA .) art

I bought it and set it up per teh instruction it all was workking the day I built the kit I then took the model out and when I turned on the radio plugged in the battery nothing!

It was dead!

Im going to send it back for a new one!

Are this a problem!

First berg I have ever owned all my GWS and Hitec work great though!

Tallflyer, at least we didn't lose airplanes !! I follow the CC site and others have had similar problems...plus what they refer to as a "sleep''....where they die in the air and usually but not always begin working again. Too sporadic for my old ticker !
Some have had good luck with them. My experience with the GWS, Hitec 555 & Micro 05S rcvrs mirrors your own. art
