Glider Accessories
Here's a good source for glider doo-dads, i.e. aileron covers, 2.4 blisters, etc.

Thanks for the feedback!
After posting this I went back and found videos of Jun George Charlie and Donnie. After watching their launches compared to mine I see a few things I need to change. - stay on the balls of my feet ( to help with rotation) - start out slower and build up. - less moving forward and more of a step then rotation. - get rid of the hop ( didn't even know I was doing that. Probably because I'm not on the balls of my feet. ) Gotta a bit of practicing to do. Had a small accident thus evening. Our youngest was falling off a barstool height chair tonight and pulled the chair down with her which landed across the top of my left foot. It's all swollen and hurts like crazy. That will set me back a while. I'll post more video later if I see improvements. |

Remember most of the power comes from the legs and hips unwinding the torso. For a righty that right foot needs to be planted and pushing hard so your core can swing the arm around like a whip. The plane is just along for a ride on the end of a whip.
Watch the tail with your left eye through the rotation as long as you can. This means you've coiled up and can unwind in that final step. |

Someone already posted a swollen foot picture - we don't need any video
![]() Also agree with Lee, - it looks like there could be more power in the last quarter rotation out of your body, looks like your arm is trying to do the last bit. AS if I could talk, this evening my launch was back to 120 ft. BP |

no picture of my foot, it is still swollen and it hurt less before I filmed this at lunch....
OK one more video for your opinions. I think it is getting better, I still hop a little in the middle. My launches with this technique were a little higher than with my previous method. I am going to take a few days off from flying and let my foot heal.
