Axial SCX10 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon

This is the Axial SCX10 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 1/10 4WD Kit. Axial has joined forces with Jeep, the most recognized name in off-roading!

Axial's latest scale SCX10

The SCX10 is available in 4 different scale configurations as either as a kit requiring assembly and electronics, or a ready-to-run crawler with everything you need to hit the trails (minus a charger and batteries). The SCX Jeep Rubicon keeps with tradition by including scale rock bumpers and a swing out tire carrier, Walker Evans faux beadlocks and Maxxis Trepador tires amongst other scale goodies. Everything is tied together via a realistic c-channel frame.

As an owner of an SCX10 Honcho, I can say that it crawls realistically and requires a greater level of finesse to negotiate some obstacles. It's exciting to drive a crawler in a scale manner and resist the urge to pin the throttle whenever it's needed.

Specifications:

  • Width:9" (229mm)
  • Length21.25" (540mm)
  • Height:9" (229mm)Wheelbase:12.3" (313mm)
  • Ground Clearance:2.7" (68mm)
  • Weight (no electronics)3.4lbs (1.54kg)

My Rubicon RTR

I actually bought the RTR version. I switched the radio to my DX3C, moved the 5000MAH 2S lipo to the front and added a 7 Inch action Expendables action figure for the driver. I do have some more appearance mods on the way as well.

I love this thing and it is actually pretty tough!

Beautiful. Been having a time with weird sale pricing at Tower on this. But now I got it again in my shopping cart at $255 shipped with super saver club coupons. Great deal but I just got a subaru brat and and an FJ cruiser pre-ordered. How come there's no discussion on this awesome truck? Is there another thread? I like the kit version because I don't need a radio and I like the upgrades this one has and they would be expensive to add later. That, and the metal steering links are a must. They really should be stock on kits in the price range. My Exceed Maxstone at $125 has them stock.
