Interesting concept, but will it work? I have my doubts regarding the lack of vertical area and that vee tail.
Remember the 'MiniMob'? we tried flying that as a vee tail with the elevator coupled as a rudder. Ok in a straight line until rudder was applied
Very interesting though.

Yep, the V-tail on the MiniMOB autogyro was a real disaster like Rich said.
I have thought a lot of times about this configuration since then, and a V-tail in its standard configuration is really not good: If we use the rudder, the V-tail produces a roll torque to the wrong side, and if the tail moves outside in the turn, it makes a nose down effect.............
To my opinion, an inversed V-tail like presented in the linked thread should solve the problems, but I never tried it on a model, and I always was in doubt that my knowledge about the flight dynamics of an autogyro is sufficient to judge this........
From the pictures I have seen following the link, I got the impression that they are already building the real size prototype. With an INVERSED V-TAIL, so it must be working.........

I will mark your words.
The tail is not small, it has almost 2m span.
What you see on the black cabin during static and dynamic test are
just the tail roots, with no steering surfaces attached.
And these surfaces are 3 times bigger tan the root.
Actually this is the only gyroplane cabin and tail that has been tested
in an aerodynamic tunnel in all flight regimes for stability and performance.
Also a RC 1:8 scale model has been successfully flown over few years
showing no improper flight characteristics.
Let's wait until the full flight testing procedure is completed
before throwing stones.
