There must be over 60 boats out there but where ?
I'm aware of the SMYC and my boat was sailed by John Amen who sailed it in Speckles Lake then it was on the cover of AMYA magazine.Thinking about joining the club. Thanks everyone.

Infinity 54 Region 6 Champioinship Racing, 2014

Here are several pictures for this weekend taken at the AMYA Infinity 54 Region 6 Championship Racing. SFMYC hosted the R6C racing on Spreckels Lake, Golden Gate Park.

We raced 10 races Saturday in what began as light winds only to become swirling hard to predict gusts of nearly 18 mph. Sunday we began the day in light winds which remained moderate through out the races. 10 races were planned for day to but the clock ran out ending short of the 20 races expected.

The first picture is of 1st and 2nd place Region 6 Champions Jason Spiller-SFMYC, 3 chevrons and Jim Hensel-SFMYC (I-54 Secretary) winning 2 chevrons. 3rd place went to Steve Vaczovsky 62 (Sacramento Model Yacht Club) taking the single chevron.

Picture two is the klag at the starting line day two. Congratulations to all who participated and a special thank you to all who participated and a special "attaboy" to the race organizers.
