It's just the right one, I'm sure after the first bend its weaker and can't hold like it should, I guess I'll just order the replacement, I have seen the 10mm oleo struts and better retracts just wondering if they have been modded to work with this plane. I land in rough grass field

For 5 or 6 cell the power system would need to be replaced I'm sure the esc and motor can't handle it right? Right now it flies around 3/4 throttle the hole flight to keep it up

while I never know what china does. the strut wire should be cold rolled steel and the more you bend it the stronger it gets. that however does not mean that after bending you can get it back to the way it was.

I use a Dlux 100 esc which allows me to run 5s. judging from my two 5s4k20c batteries you will need to have a battery that can put out 100amps (ie 4k25c), as mine have ballooned, well one ballooned the other is fine? I take from that I need to bump up the C rating

The hub is showing signs of stress already you can see the oblong holes started. Took a lot of weight to balance the hub and props.
Motor winding are not very clean either. Why would they put a 70 amp when this thing pulls 75 is beyond me

I replaced all my stock FMS ESC's in my 1400 birds some time back with YEP 100A also did the 1700's as well (Throttle is much more linear now with the YEP ESC). The FMS ESC's are ok and fairly good, but like you mentioned above...just cutting it too close their limits and capabilities.

I moved those stock ESC's to other planes with lower requirements or hold on to them as backup spares They are actually ZTW ESC's with the FMS name on them.

That 580KV motor really needs an 85A or better ESC

I was just looking at the YEP 100amp, you run the 4s or 5s with the YEP on the 580? Looking at the spec of the 580kv its rated at 850 watts i pull over 1000 watts already

It's a good ESC and very smooth linear throttle.... Works great in all my planes and EDF's. its was developed for Heli's but work great in planes.

I highly recommend getting the programming card with it
