Quadcopter Bind, Low battery Indicator LED howto

This may not even be possible for a DIY build. But is it possible to add LED lighting to a quadcopter control system to indicate binding, low battery etc. This is quite common on RTF quads - my little Hubsan and JJRC H8D both have these functions and I'd like to add them to my ImmersionRC Xugong build which is using a Naze32 FC and a Turnigy TGY -i10 10 channel RC transmitter. This Tx/Rx system has an option to use an TGY-AEV01 i-BUS extender with the Rx (although at this point in time I have no idea how this will work - although I thought I could use it to monitor battery voltage via the supplied voltage telemetry module.
