I have a hi-res PDF scan of the plans (to scale) that prints on a 48" x 36" (Arch E Special) sheet. It is too large a PDF to post, but I will send it to you thru email, if you give me your email address.

Electric Scat Cat
The ScatCat use to be the "go to" in our racing circuit, until the vtails took over.
Dad and i found this kit at a swap meet last year, and he made it electric... Its your standard EF-1 set up. E-flite 25 (nmpra approved motor) 4s 2600mah LiPo 60amp esc Oh, and for ships and giggles.... he put retracts on it  plane goes fast, easy to build, and if you ask me... that should be your enrty level racer.... |

I agree, it should be the plane to start racing with. In the mid 90's, I started a "Slo-Quickee" event at our club using the Scat Cat powered by K&B .28s. We used a 2 pylon circuit and the racers stood in the middle but outside of the flight path. Had a judge to mark cuts at each pylon also safely outside the flight path. It was amazing how good we got in guessing where to wrap the Scat Cats around the pylons without cutting.
I still have a .40 powered Scat Cat now, ready to fly. SpadCat |

Back in the day as a joke I mounted a piped Rossi 81 on a Scat Cat. It used maple beam mounts that went to the back of the wing saddle. The stock nose was cut off a little in front of the leading edge. The engine was mounted upright with expansion pipe running down the top on the centerline. After it was built we had to try and fly it. As you could imagine the power was incredible. It basically flew the same speed no matter which way it was pointed. Engine torque was very evident in the up line. If i can find a pic i will post it. Love the scat cat!
