Does anyone have a good suggestion for my Raptor 90. Battery for reciever. I need to replace mine before I fly but, the one i have is $140.00 to replace.

I could suggest a few, but I would need to know if you prefer nicad, nimh, lipo, or liion. Do you want to use a regulator? 4.8volts, 6.0volts, or 7.4 volts?

Too many options and not enough information from you. I'd be tempted to say that if you are asking this question you should not be trying to fly a 90 sized helicopter.

But i've been known to be wrong.

I have a fromico regulator for the system. And Duralite battery, But they wanted too much as a replacement. Just wanted to check if they was any other options. And I prefer lipo.

I have a Fromeco Arizona Regulator and a Fromeco 2s2p 4800mah battery on my Raptor 90.

As for lipo, I do not have too much experience with that. I have seen 2s 1800 packs used to keep weight down. I've also seen much bigger packs that could take flying all day. C rating should not be too critical since you are not feeding a power hungry brushless motor.

I have also used batteries from these guys: http://www.hangtimes.com/giantrxpacks.html the key here is to use the lowest impedance batteries you can afford.

Seems like any 2s liIon or Lipo pack that you find might be suitable, since you already have a regulator. If you want to go with Nicds or NiMh then you could remove the regulator if you get a 4 cell pack.

I finally got my old Duralite check out still holds 90% capacity so Im good to go.

I just use a 2S 2500 maH lipo and the Align 2 in 1 regulator. Works fine for me.
