Hey guys has anyone had to reinforce the nose? Noticed after flying mine today their was a lil flex in the nose where I could push up or down on it and you could see the styrofoam flex a bit.

Any suggestions on how to reinforce the nose? Thanks again guys.

It's fine for flying. It won't flex in flight as there is very little aerodynamic force on it. This thing is nose-heavy anyway and you don't want to add weight to the nose.

I put a layer of packing tape along all the leading edges and around the nose behind the plastic. I haven't had too many chances to fly yet, but it's holding up well.

A small skewer stuck in front to back puts the stiffness back in .

Any help would be much appreciated as the problem has happened on two of my UMX habus and has happened once before but I sent it in and it was fixed/ replaced for free. Could be a design flaw of the as3x receiver just don't understand it right now...

This can happen if you run the batteries to LVC on a regular basis. AS3X does not like low voltage.

How to change the Fan?

My HABU started making a high pitched sound while I was flying. I landed and found that 2 of the 5 fan blades have broken. I ordered another one. Cant figure out how to separate the fan and motor. Does anyone have any pictures or can walk me through it? I searched for a video or post but could not find any. Thanks!

I lost my battery during flight, it ended in a way I don´t like to talk about, but do it anyway. I was flying around and made a tight looping and the battery popped out the Habu made one and a half inverted looping before it went with nose straigth down in the soft grass, broke of nose and shortened it ofcourse, easy to repair but it does not look so good anymore.

How do you securely fix you battery to the battery bay?

I've seen elastic bands used but I think it spoils the looks.

Just roll inverted and do outside loops!!!

I modified the battery compartment to help with cg anyways, so my battery is held to an excavated area behind the original compartment with a velcro strap around it.

Yes, I think this is the way to do it. I repeat, can you send some pictures for ideas of your installation?
