I have a tee dee 20 and made a simple exhaust throttle. Great way to tame the lil beast.

Amp,

What is the material that you used (size, parts, etc.)?

Thanks,
KP

Here is a Yellow Jacket (kit from Morris Hobbies) that I built this winter. 27" wingspan and a Cox 05RC in the front, total weight is about 10.2oz (290g). There is a little bit of a build log here; Yellow Jacket

That look interesting, never seen a pipe on a reedy before, do you have actual tach reading (with and without pipe, prop) and were did you get that cute little pipe?
The only one I've heard about for 1/2A was CS for the .8cc and 1cc engines but they are not on their site anymore:

16 inch Spitfire

16 inch Control line "Peace Spitfire"! Cox .049. Built with 8 year old daughter...just now she is not keen to keep trying to get it in the air after a few nosedives & broken props

Yes, interested in more detail on how you did this, if you would

Not sure if this still counts as "1/2 A" ! Bored holiday project. 2 spare Cox .049's lying there. Built new wing for 28" Guillows traditional kit I built with young daughters. Will try with 2 engines first! Girls hate the noise of all 3, which is spectacular, and do not, understandably, want to be near it!

Both of these planes are Cyclon .061 powered. The V-tailed is the fastest.

Here's my fleet, minus the Li'l Devil. I don't know if she'll ever get my C of A or not.

From left: The chopped Stuntman 23, named Green Death, she could seriously use a cosmetic makeover. Maybe after she proves airworthy; The Lil Jumpin bean, awaiting an appropriate nickname; The PT-19, some say that's blood flowing out of the engine compartment. Lost a bid for a new wing on Ebay, but it flies fine with the warp.(hot car, in case you were wondering).

I give you Der Jager Stik, my first attempt at a Half-A nitro airplane. I combined two planes to come up with this one - Das Ugly Stik and Der Jager bipe. I have not flown it yet, but will do so soon.
I'm using a Cox easy start .049 with throttle. I used one-eight thick balsa for most of the frames, with quarter-inch where needed. Ply firewall holds the engine. TowerKote used to cover the model. Pilot head is from a Pez candy dispencer. Rudder, elevator, throttle for controls. Wingspan is 36 inches, length is 26 inches. AUW is unknown yet. I have a few things left to do with it before it is flown.
