Do these also run true, no wobbling or vibrations when throttling up?

None in the set that I got from there. How good their quality control is though, is something to consider. The black hsp brand ones from here in the states had a slight vibration in one of the fronts that I found to be in the tire rather than the wheel. There was some excess material on one side. Once trimmed off the vibration went away.

You don't happen to know the offset for the Option House wheels, or do you? The white wheels you linked to are 3mm offset, I wonder if that would alter the car's "stance" as I like the width of the wheels with the Option House rims.

Sorry you got me there. Can you measure yours? If you can I think they offer those same wheels in different offsets.

That is a resistor in that pic. Strange, never seen that before. It's draining a small amount of power and not sure it serves a purpose as a filter.

It looks like a resistor, but I have read on several forums that in fact it's not what it looks like. The Tamiya manual also calls it a condensor:

A simple resistor between the poles would mean a sort of short circuit, a condensor would make more sense.

It drives smoothly. Be careful not to run an SCT "monster" over it, I think the SCT will win that confrontation.

Yeah! That was a close encounter with my brothers truck and made us both a little nervous. I put the 959 away after that lol. Just didn't want to risk an accident.

So love seeing this car getting attention again. Also, great find on that old commercial for the 959...brings back some awesome memories.

These little cars are great fun. This project has been a blast, and I will be kinda sad when it's completed.

I can understand that. How about restoring its sibling, the Toyota Celica Gr.B Rally Special?
