Worked with a guy who flew one for a while. He said that the take off speed, the climb speed, the cruise speed, the max speed, and the stall speed were all the same. He also said that when it stalled, the wing, stabilizer, the rudder, and the propeller all stalled at once. He was a crop duster most of the time, but would bring hunters into remote places in the off season.

Another really cool General Aviation airplane that is not often modeled! I'll be watching along, is this going to be glow or electric?

Another of my favorites, I have old Cleveland plans for the Seabee, maybe some day. Very few built-up designs of the Seabee. I would make non-retract landing gear removable for water use.

I'm drawing cad plans now to have it lasercut. Will start the build soon. I will be following your thread closely to get a good idea of the process. Looks great so far.

Just a wee point: Real SeaBee's featured a stall speed only a 'few' Knots less than cruise speed. :-)

Are you going to have functional retracts? I'd like to see that!

Sea Bee

My father and uncle used to run their flying service for years with 5 Sea Bee's
I did my float rating and commercial in one in 1964.
Total time in Bee's is close to 2400 how I love them and miss them.
Was Republics attempt at the private owner market after WW2.
I shall subscribe to this and wil enjoy the progress.
Oh yes pull the throtle back and they drop like a 55 Chevy with a trunk full of rocks.

They don't do well when you try to roll them on their side to pass between the trees. They do accelerate smartly without wings though until they get on their side and loose the prop.
