Walkera Lama 3

I am looking for any information on a Walkera Lama 3 brushless. Anyone has one Pros and Cons. Thinking of buying one. I now have Blade CX and just got QS 8006 not to happy with. Walkera looks to be better made and still coaxial. thanks Frank.

Walkera coaxes don't get much love here as they have always had their share of issues, especially with brushed motors. The LM3 is very high maintenance and flies nothing like any other coax; it can be quite difficult. But, here's the link: http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1184242

Thanks Balr14 thanks for info. I Iike my blade cx but real small. I bought a QS8006 but the workman ship is poor. Would like to find something better. Thanks Frank. P.S. still want to stay with coaxial.

Unfortunately, almost all of the development in coax helis has been in cheap toy grade models. The only exception is the Extreme Flyers X350, which is quite expensive and has issues. The manufacturers have moved to other platforms and pretty well left the coax category to the 3 channel toys. Maybe a Walkera D400 would work for you.

You might be interested in the Walkera 400D. It's a large coax with brushed motors and better flying than the ilconceived Lama 3. That being said, you can buy about $10 worth of parts and make a 400D look like a Lama 3.

I like my Lama3 but like Balr said, the L3 is not your usual coax heli. It's overly-complicated and has some pretty bad handling quirks. I like flying mine, but only because it's a unique experience - not because it's such an good performer. The 400D performs like a standard coax, though they have quality issues in some cases.
