I've heard good things about that Nano as well. I went with the mcpx because I had seen it and had my hands on it... and can share spare parts with other guys in my club if really needed. I'm very pleased with it though. I just looked for V2 and went for it. I got a package deal on Ebay that included some extra batteries.... so shop around if you can.

Also, I just orded some 300mah lipos (nano-tech) from HK. Anyone ever used these? I've read where you can get a 5 min flight of normal flying? I ordered 6, so that would be sweet to add to my collection.

Will be the v2 for sure, but I've read here and there about different versions of the 3-in-1 called e.g. 1.3 and 1.5. Do I need to check anything else beyond the heli version before buying, or If I take the mcpx v2 I'm sure I get the latest hardware and firmware?
Pcb version makes no difference in my experience. I had 1.3 and currently 1.5.

I like my nano in windless or near windless conditions but, when the wind picks up, the mCPX is my go to small heli.

I'll fly the nano in as big a wind as the mCPX with no worries. Have to admit that I've gotten more bold with my experiences lately. If it can fly faster than the wind, I'm good. Flew the nano in 20mph winds the other day without a hitch. Have to spend most of the time going upwind, but still works well. Maybe someday I can get a video of it. Makes for an interesting flight.

I just noticed that Horizon lowered the prices on the mCP X on their site. With the release of the Nano, that probably makes sense. But how about this wild bit of speculation?

Christmas is coming. Nano is better indoors, and the mCP X was always a bit less than it should have been outdoors. Everyone is going brushless on both. Price comes down on the year-old v2. That's a darn good setup for HH to do a brushless mCP X with the long tail standard, a new board with built-in ESC, and a 100X name to align with the rest of their brushless minis and micros.

Am I crazy? Or just really hoping for something exciting to order up around the time that Santa is coming to town?

Bill

I'll believe it when I see it. And yes I will be in line to pick one up if it did happen.

I have a mcpx board with a burnt tail motor fet, I won't be able to fix this myself but I was wondering if you could help me out on this one. If you're interested please pm me a price and your address. Thanks!

Can't beat the HK 300mAh Nano tech for value. I'm easily getting 5 minutes of mild 3D. Can still flip at 5 minutes with the standard tail.

A question for you Version 2 mCP-X owners.

A friends V2 mCP-X would not bind today. The blue light is flashing on once every 4 seconds. This was strange to me, because the blue light on my V1 flashes very fast before it binds.

I'm guessing he just needs to get a new main board, but the slow flashing light has me wondering if it is indicating some other problem. Any ideas, or just a new board required?

Thanks,
Harrow.
